Everyone did really well and had lots of fun too!
On Monday I am a bee and I make yummy honey for my pankakes.
On Tuesday I am a sea turtle swimming around a reef.
On Wednesday I am the Queen playing hockey with Prince William and Princess Kate.
On Thursday I am a unicorn galloping around Terebithia.
On Friday I’m a dragon flying around breathing fire.
On Saturday I am a pygmy seahorse playing hide and seek in the coral.
On Sunday I’m me because we have bacon sandwiches.

This week is Seachtain na Gaeilge.
Tá gach duine sa scoil ag déanamh iarracht an Ghaeilge a labhairt.
Bain trial as!
Some of first class dressed up as characters from story books on World Book Day. There were Harry Potters, princesses, fairies, Peter Pan, Minnie Mouse, some very naughty children and more!
We have been testing different materials to see what happens them in cold water, hot water and salt water. We have also been measuring different lengths using our meter strips from IKEA! We measured each other, our families and the distance from our classroom to the hall, the Junior Infant classroom, Siobhán’s desk and Mrs. Perdue’s room.
Our cake sale and coffee afternoon went brilliantly! Everyone baked delicious goods and worked really hard to make the event a huge success.
We are delighted to report that we managed to raise €545 that will go towards the class trip to the Gaeltacht.
Well done everyone!
Here are some photos from the day :

Next term 6th class are going to the Gaeltacht in Donegal for 5 days. This is the first time we’ve gone on such a long trip and everyone is really looking forward to it. To help raise funds towards the cost, 6th class are holding a Bake Sale in school this Friday 24th February from 1-2p.m. in the school hall. 6th class are all busy baking at the moment and there will be a lovely variety of tasty goods for sale.
Tea and coffee will also be available so why not come early and have a cuppa and a chat? See you on Friday!
