School will reopen tomorrow morning, Monday 5th March, at the usual time. The snow is thawing in the lane and the yard and should be clear enough in the morning.
Washington Lane is still quite treacherous today but also should be much improved tomorrow. There may be some flooding on the lane so please wear suitable footwear.
See you all in the morning!
This morning, Wednesday 28th February, Met Eireann issued a Status Red Weather Alert. Therefore school will be closed today. We will keep everyone updated as the day continues.
Every year on the 22nd February Guides throughout the world celebrate ‘World Thinking Day’. This is a day when they think about their ‘sisters’ (and ‘brothers’) in all the countries of the world, the meaning of Guiding, and its global impact. Many of the girls in RPNS are Ladybirds, Brownies and Guides and on World Thinking Day they wore their uniforms to school. You can see in the photos that between them they have lots of badges which they have worked very hard to earn. Happy World Thinking Day!
On Sunday 4th February the choir took part in the Dublin Peace Proms concert in the RDS along with two thousand other children and the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland. It was a great experience and enjoyed by everyone. Well done to the choir for all their hard work!

They also researched and completed mini projects on the 17 different species of penguins. Then they drew and coloured a penguin. They worked so hard learning all about Penguins and Antarctica.
