Welcome back to school everyone! We hope you all had a lovely holiday and are ready to start the new school year with energy and enthusiasm. Let’s wish for another great year in RPNS!
There was great excitement in assembly today when Santa dropped in to visit us. He said the little robins had been telling him how good the children of RPNS had been this year. He left everyone a little present – thanks Santa!
Well done to Eoin in Rang 2 who won a prize in the Supervalu art competition with this lovely Christmas picture.
A few weeks ago it was music generation week.
We did lots of music workshops.
On Monday we did a workshop called Jabba Jabba Jembe and on Tuesday we did songwriting.
On Wednesday we went to the Rua Red Centre and a man from Japan came and showed us the Japanese guitar when we came back we did a workshop on slam poetry after we went to the hall and we did some traditional music. On Thursday we did drama in the hall.
We’ve had a busy term in 4th class. We’ve had lots of music workshops, we were recorded for Christmas FM, we had the Christmas Fair, we’ve been sewing Christmas decorations and some of us even got to go to RTE to see the Toy Show set!
Great fun was had in 3rd learning all about electricity.
Here we are building our own electrical circuits and designing switches for our circuits!
3rd Class thoroughly enjoyed the music festival organised by Music Generation.
We got to go to the Red Rua centre for a dance workshop. We wrote some slam poems. We learned about traditional instruments and we even composed our own rock song.
